Good Morning Newgrounds! Welcome to the 20th Issue of The Tank Tribune! For twenty weeks, The Tank Tribune has brought you the latest happenings and history of Newgrounds! There is a new section added to this week's issue, the discussion of Flash dying, how it is being preserved, and how you can help out. This issue will be a little out of order, don't panic though it is for a reason. The return of Afro-Ninja and much more on this twentieth issue of The Tank Tribune!
Come December 2020 Flash will no longer be supported and discontinued on devices. From computers to cell phones to tablets. There has been a large part of the Internet whose legacy was Flash. Through animations, games, and even websites. Recently @Noodle on his YouTube Channel Two Left Thumbs made a video talking about the history of Flash and how it is being preserved. It is a long video, but I implore you to watch it.
There are multiple ways that Flash is being preserved. Newgrounds already has the Newgrounds Player in effect where certain Flash movies and games can be played in Newgrounds. There is work being done to convert multiple games and movies to proper formats through Ruffle. There is also Flashpoint where an archive is being built. We cannot let Flash die and you can help with the preservation of it moving forward by donating to Ruffle and help filling out the list on Flashpoint.
These are the people who make Newgrounds possible. Thank you!
As noted above, Noodle has become quite the cheerleader of Newgrounds and its history over on the YouTube side. The artist formerly known as Goat-Man is a wonderful collaborator in some of Newgrounds most memorable movies and games. He was also the mastermind behind the This Week on Newgrounds series, which the Tribune took direct inspiration from. He is an incredible talent here on the site and one who should be taken note of.
If you missed the winners of the Among Us Jam you can go back and check it out! If you're in the mood for something to binge watch then check out all the entries in the Jam. There is information on how you can help Tom enable Ruffle on Flash Submissions. A lot of stuff doesn't require Flash since Newgrounds has constantly been moving forward, but for those that do still require Flash then let Tom know.
Tom is also looking for feedback on scores being visible for creators, registered users, and just visitors. Tell him your thoughts on the matter and why.
@Everratic is hosting a challenge where you create video game music based off of a list of challenges. You can work solo or collaborate. More details are in the thread about how this challenge works.
@Afro-Ninja had one of games Ruffle enabled. He reflected on his time here on Newgrounds and also talked about his upcoming game, he is really close to finishing it for all of us to see. He is planning on a return to the site and has given kudos to @ninjamuffin99 game Friday Night Funkin.
Last Week's Daily Features from the Portal as posted through P-Bot's Postings are listed here. The team of @ninjamuffin99, @PhantomArcade, @evilsk8r, and @KawaiSprite took home a Daily Feature for Friday Night Funkin. One of the songs from the game can be heard in this morning's Sunday Phonograph! @JamesLee brings us the recent story about Ellen DeGeneres with Ellen & the Court of Public Opinion. @MongoPangolin picked up his first solo Daily Feature award with Twitter Every Other November. You may have seen his works in the Freaky Fred Reanimated and Settin' The Scene collaborations. @LinkNiak has picked up his first Daily Feature for Shrimp. @SandBagg also picked up his first solo Daily Feature award with Honey Sucker. @CumminHam has a teaser for an upcoming project with Tron Bonne Services the Serv-Bot.(Teaser). @PieLordPictures brings us the second part to The Island Episode of OddBall Adventures to close off the week.
Welcome to the newest section of The Tank Tribune. Here is the latest from @TheNewgroundsPodcast. This past Saturday, the NGP had a Developer Interview with Friday Night Funkin. This episode will surely be up on the Podcast within the next coming days so be on the lookout for it. Be sure to follow them on their Discord to hear them live.
If you've missed some episodes, there was a Halloween Special, the Worst Song Competition, and guests included @Troisnyx, @Snackers, @Spadezer, @Saminat, and @VoicesByCorey. If you missed the revival of Art Talks then give that a listen this morning as well.
One of the pioneers of Flash. His series range from comedic to serious and everywhere in-between. At a time he even offered Flash Tutorials on his site. Learn the mind behind the Karo and Abo series.
@Unigodspawn released a new album entitled Late Morning Coffee. It is described as a lo-fi folk acoustic ambient vibe. Something to listen to while drinking coffee. It consists of four tracks. Give it a listen if you have the chance, it is a free download.
@followino was on a mission. To follow everybody on Newgrounds. Apparently through this journey he discovered that you can only follow up to 10,000 Newgrounds Members. During this legendary adventure there is but one question. Did followino follow you?
The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax. This week's console has games featured by @Rob1221.
There wasn't as much featured here as normal and this was done for two reasons. One I've been busy lately. I put too much on my plate, what else is new? Two, I wanted to focus mostly on the preservation of Flash with it being done away with next month. There is so much to do and so little time and you can be a huge help to that process. Without Flash a lot of sites would not be what they are, Newgrounds wouldn't be what it is today, and a lot of creators wouldn't be where they are today. We can preserve Flash. I've been trying to find different games and movies that are older throughout Newgrounds and put them in the Tribune so they can be looked back on and people can go "Oh yeah I remember that" or discover something old as something new for the first time. It is also why this week I am not featuring the wall or my Patreon. If you haven't, please support Newgrounds and/or Ruffle.
Good Morning Newgrounds! I hope you all had a Happy Halloween and enjoyed yesterday's special Halloween Edition of The Tank Tribune! There was a large response in Halloween Entries this year, if you haven't had a chance to enjoy them then this will be a good time to play catch up. The Among Us Animation Jam winners were announced yesterday and overall the annual festivities were a fantastic way to get into the season of Autumn, with Thanksgiving on the horizon in the coming weeks.
The winners of the Among Us Jam were announced. With over four hours of content submitted narrowing the decision down was not easy. There were prizes for places 1st-14th. Below are the Top three winners as well as an honorary mention. Congratulations to all of the winners! Tom also updated the NG History page for events that happened this year and what he plans on in the future.
Last Week's Daily Features from the Portal as posted through P-Bot's Postings are listed here. @Sexual-Lobster picked up a Daily Feature last week. The creators of Bonkers nabbed a Daily Feature for their work on Dead Estate. @AfroNinja360 picks up his sixth Daily Feature with A Pizza My Heart.
These are the people who make Newgrounds possible. Thank you!
She has gone by many names on here lately. @TheGhostOfSevenSeize and recently @SevenSeize4President. She has been known as SevenSeize for years now though. Her absolute love of Newgrounds and her undying support of it through not only contributing towards contests, but hosting them as well. She is one of the mainstays of the site, always willing to introduce people to the site, give out cookies, and doesn't afraid of anything.
Take a look back at this interview done with PuffballsUnited. During the rise of Henry Stickmin. The creator of Among Us. Which he touched on in his last question, what can we expect from PuffballsUnited in the future?
"I also have a cool idea for a unique game, but I'm still working on ironing out all the rules and such first."
@JohnnyGuy released a new EP. A side project called CURSED SERVER. You can pick it up now for only $5! It is experimental electronic dance. Below is one of the songs featured on the album.
@MiesBodark is the lead writer of an upcoming Star Wars fan film. SWTOR: The Vallus Conspiracy and is looking for voice actors. If you're interested then just comment in the thread. If you have a demo then add it to your post.
@exotworking game LUCKY TOWER just turned ten years old today! Meant to be part of Power of Three, it ended up being a Halloween Contest Entry. Taking home second place in 2010. You can replay this Newgrounds classic today!
@HelperWesley has been working on his latest game Asteroid Dig and has been chronicling the process through developer logs. He's been working on this game for over a month now. Taking in feedback and polishing it up as he goes. Your feedback could be helpful as well.
@troythehippie has recently joined us. They're trying to quit drinking soda. Any tips out there for them would be greatly appreciated. Say hello in the Intro Thread.
The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax.
I didn't put as much in this issue this week. No Flash Portal History, Newgrounds Kitchen, or Forum History. I wanted those to shine for the Halloween Issue. If you haven't read the Halloween Edition, then please do. There is so much history there that I want all of Newgrounds to enjoy! So many entries for Halloween and Among Us, the content is just absolutely endless! Why Newgrounds has been so neglected while YouTube continues to grow and abuse its creators I will never understand. With the only content creators YouTube cares about are Let's Players with some form of notoriety, reaction videos, and people with vapid content who can afford a camera and an editor. We need to bring as many people to this site as possible. If you're unsure how to do that then please read this. And if someone has left the site for YouTube and is coming back because YouTube treated them wrongly, do not treat them wrongly as a response. Welcome them back. Newgrounds is no longer The Problems of the Future, Today. We are Everything, By Everyone.

Good Evening Newgrounds! Happy Halloween to all of you! This is a special Halloween Edition of The Tank Tribune. There are some spooky jams in the Halloween Phonograph. There are some of Newgrounds most popular horror games to play. The new Matinee is now the Horror Matinee with some of the scariest movies on Newgrounds! QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Final day! Twitch: Alyek Support PMCF to obliterate cancer in our lifetime!”
Today is Halloween! The deadline for the Spooktacular. If you haven't submitted your Halloween submission then now is the time for finishing touches and to get it to the Portal and through Judgement by the end of the day! There are prizes for Animation, Game, Art, Music, and Writing. There is also a Spooktober Voice Acting Contest! Get your entries out there and give us a good scare, a good laugh, or both!
Daily Features from the Portal as posted through P-Bot's Postings are listed here. Today we're looking back at the movies that won Daily Feature's on Halloween. From 2003-2007.
The Master of Horror here on Newgrounds. The creator of the Still Spineless Series. His movies have made Newgrounds laugh, scared, and quite honestly put on edge.
Newgrounds would have an annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. You could either carve a real pumpkin or if your hands aren't that steady and knives freak you out, you could use the Carve n' Share made by @Evil-Dog. People still make their own carvings every Halloween! You can add yours to the ranks. Share your Jack-O'-Lantern with all of us in the comments section today!
Have you got any cool stuff to show off for Halloween? Could be decorations, candy, a video you found, anything and everything Halloween related! Share it with the rest of Newgrounds!
Before the Writing Forum existed, stories were posted to General. @Monocrom brought us this horror, detective, thriller, back in 2007. It was a story told over the course of a year and then some. It is one of Newgrounds finest stories on the site. A perfect read for Halloween.
"It's odd, but story ideas often pop into my head. Ironically, I'll often get the Beginning, the Ending, and one or two scenes first. Then the rest develops on its own. This one developed much faster than all the others. I had been working on my first short story collection at the time for New Grounds. This was supposed to be the crown jewel in that collection. But it wouldn't stop developing in my head. Soon I realized I had a story that needed its own thread. The very first scenes I had were the Ending and the scene in which Alice is held up and prevented from tumbling down the stairs by the ghost. Those two scenes remained unchanged. Sometimes I'll just pick a subject or story idea, and it just comes to me. I wanted to write my own take on a ghost story. And it hit me in the head like a 90mph fastball."
Welcome back to the Newgrounds Kitchen! For Halloween we have two recipes for you. One courtesy of Deep Fried Live! Toasted Pumpkin Seeds. The other courtesy of @The-Great-One. A punch that you can throw together real quick for that last minute beverage for your Halloween Party!
Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
This episode of Deep Fried Live! has a lot of recipes. There are recipes for Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Flan, and even Pumpkin Soup. We will focus on the Pumpkin Seeds today.
INGREDIENTS
Pumpkin seeds
Olive oil, for drizzling
Salt & Pepper (or other spices*)
STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
STEP 2: Rinse the seeds clean of any pumpkin flesh and pat dry.
STEP 3: In a mixing bowl, toss the seeds with olive oil. Season with salt & pepper.
STEP 4: Place the seeds on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roast until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
*Here's where you can get creative: try your favorite Indian or Mexican spices, or maybe something nutty, like nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix and match until you find something you really like.
Granny's Punch
A favorite of The-Great-One. This was a punch that his Granny would make for get togethers. It can be made really quick if you need punch in a pinch.
INGREDIENTS
2 packs Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid
1 small can orange juice
3/4 bottle ginger ale
Small amount of water
STEP 1: Make Kool-Aid according to directions on the package. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.
STEP 2: In a punch bowl, combine the Kool-Aid, ginger ale, orange juice, and water.
STEP 3: Stir together and serve.
This special edition has a fine selection of horror and Halloween themed games. I hope you enjoy them all this Halloween! Special thanks to @Friissy for helping find one of the games I was looking for to add to this console.
Welcome to the Horror Matinee. A collection of fun and scary Halloween movies from Newgrounds. All of them can be viewed in the new Newgrounds Video Player so you can marathon all of them without worrying about one being skipped. I hope you enjoy.
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. It is time for the dark and morose. A time for scary stories, scaring others, and of course... CANDY! However you decide to celebrate Halloween this year, I hope you celebrate safely. Don't do anything stupid and get yourself hurt. Don't eat as much candy as you want... you will regret it later. I hope you have a lot of fun on Halloween Night. If you're killing time, there's plenty in this special edition that can keep you occupied and get you into the season of the witch. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Newgrounds! This past week I took off from my writing only posting the updates needed and working on the Tribune. Newgrounds was a bit more quiet last week. Everybody is gearing up for Halloween. We have the return of TheSilleGuy, the winner of The Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch 2020 announced on @TheNewgroundsPodcast, and Halloween will soon be upon us. Sit back and relax with this morning's Tank Tribune!

I get the Quote from the bottom of the page where users can leave a message on the wall. I am not putting SHOOOOM here again @Jojo. I swear you know what time I get up in the morning to post this.
@ClockworkPixel and @FraserMcNiven submission for this year's Halloween is up. If you haven't watched The Magician & The Mother yet, add it to your Watch List later on today.
The time has come to fulfill a promise I made a long time ago.
I knew this day would come eventually... but knowing and accepting are completely different things.
It only has to be done once, however, I fear my heart won’t take it.
If your entry in the Halloween Spooktacular is wrapping up. Now is the time to jump on the Christmas Adventure. It is an ADVENT calendar that gives the user something different each day. A little gift for Newgrounds. @GeoKureli organized last year's Adventure and is returning for this year's. If you're an animator, illustrator, or musician please jump in. He's also looking for game designers/developers, writers, anyone who can offer something to the project.

The scores came extremely close with less than a point difference between 1st and 2nd Places.
deathink is one of Newgrounds hugest fans. He has his own Mood set you can use when posting to the Newgrounds Forums. He is the creator of Pico Radio, a way to listen to music from the Audio Portal as a radio. This would go on to birth the Newgrounds Radio. He also answered a demand that the interviews from The Interviewer be in a Flash format that could be read in one location. He gave us The Interview Codex. He loves Newgrounds so much and is always looking to give back to the community any way he can.
Tom Fulp makes his return to The Interviewer to discuss the 25th Anniversary of Newgrounds, the death of Flash and preservation of content on the site, and where he wants to take Newgrounds towards the future.
@X-RL7 has a new episode in their series of the same name. They are looking for more subscribers to their YouTube channel where you can see the Making of X-RL7. They also have a Patreon up so you can support their works. You can also watch the first seven episodes through this playlist.
@larrynachos has added an update to the Newgrounds Arcade. Artwork was replaced for the main menu and the hub, with an addition of a day/night cycle. The game selection screen has been fixed. A new game has been added, Line Rider. He's also working on an older minigame and a newer minigame.

If you're an aspiring voice actor wanting to help out for a school project then post in the thread or send BrandyBuizel a message.
It's a short mixed-media animated film about a millennial sock puppet trying to find his moment in the spotlight as a musician in Boston, MA.
@plufmot has a new game out called TEXT 'N' DRIVE. A game where you drive and text at the same time, simple really. The artwork was done by @Fanamel and the music by @ninjamuffin99. Blue Boy: Bleeding Out is on sale for Halloween if you haven't picked it up yet.

With the return of TheSilleGuy I thought it would be nice to highlight his winning entry in the Final Round of The Newgrounds Annual Tournament of Animation, Little Snails. Two snails embark on a journey to get an herb to heal their sick mother.
""Against impossible odds" was the fourth and final theme for NATA. My video little snails went through A LOT of changes during the two days I wrote it. At first it was about humans and not snails at all, and it was going to end with the villain throwing the little girl of a cliff with her rising behind him as a giant glowing magic entity and destroying him. The "little-girl beats-the-bad-guy-to-protect-her-sister" theme was prevalent throughout the idea process but it was for a while only about humans.
It wasn't until later I sort of just spontaneously thought it could be about under water snails that it changed, and this was again changed to land snails in the final version. As for the shells as backpacks, it was just something i just thought about, it's not really any story to it, I just thought it was a cute design choice."
@PositiveSpark has joined us. He's an artist here on Newgrounds. Be sure to say hello in the Intro Thread and check out his works!
@taffmosphere is a new artist here. They lurked the site for some time and has joined our ranks! Welcome them in the Intro Thread and check out their works.
@Saminat and @grumpyfart have recently tied the knot! Go and give them congratulations! It came at an amazing time with Saminat celebrating nine years on Newgrounds as well!
Newgrounds is willing to help you out on your school projects or homework. Key word being help. We're not going to do your work for you. @ActualOccurences procrastinated and was met with the wrath of @STEM.
If you thought those calendar your name = blank things started out on Facebook, you would be incorrect. They were a staple of the Internet for a long time. @01asada made this one back in 2007. The thread is locked now, but you can still put your weapon in a comment on The Tank Tribune. You can use your real birthday or even your sign-up date.
The Tank Tribune's weapon would be a Rusted Staple Gun. Seems fitting.
The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax.
This week's issue was a bit lax I will admit. The Special Halloween Edition is going to be big though. The Newgrounds Kitchen was cut out of this part to make way for the recipes for the Halloween edition. That edition will be going up at the stroke of midnight on October 31 so be ready for it! Thanks again for all of your support, it means a lot to me that you all enjoy this. Whether it be in the afternoon or those who camp out till 6AM. I enjoy reading all of your comments.

Newgrounds annual tradition, the Sketch Collab has been released. It has been a tradition since 2007 and this year's amazing sketches were no different. @NickConter and @HenryEYES organized the even for this year in the Sketch Collab Thread. The music in this year's collab was done by @Troisnyx, whose song has been featured in this morning's Sunday Phonograph.
The Among Us Jam is still being judged. 200 entries were entered for the Among Us Jam, with over five hours of content. @PhantomArcade put together a video compilation on Newgrounds YouTube Channel.
The trophy system is undergoing an overhaul. It will allow trophies for events such as the Animation and Game Jams. There will also be even sponsor badges from the Supporter Page. Sponsors will be able to get badges for increasing prize pools. This year alone, sponsors have donated over $14,000 to prize payouts.
We’re deep in a trophy system overhaul that will allow us to assign trophies for events that didn’t traditionally log trophies to accounts. This will also allow us to sell event sponsor badges on our Supporter page, so sponsors can get badges for helping us increase various prize pools. Your contributions have increased prize payouts this year by over $14,000!
There is also a transitioning from the old Flash API to Newgrounds.io API. Tom also wants everybody to know to stop panicking about Flash dying. The Audio Portal doesn't run on Flash, the new Video Player doesn't require Flash, and games today are released on HTML5.
Ruffle.rs is still being worked on and you can help support it. There was a performance regression recently due to updates on different ends. Things are being corrected though. You can actually help out Tom without paying money in this thread.
Tom also hopes you're all doing safe during COVID. If you're going through a lot right now, emotions are getting tense, things are getting stressed. You can always come and talk to us here on Newgrounds.
The Video Games Forum was originally created to filter the mass quantity of video game topics in General, it has now slowed to the point of being a dead forum. Tom has made it clear that video game threads are now allowed in the General Forum again.
Tom needs your help. He is looking for games that show your username in them. It needs to be in AS2 not AS3. If you're unsure, don't despair. Share the game in the thread anyways. Tom won't be mad and you'll still be helping out. Here are examples below of games that uses your username.
@Troisnyx has brought back this competition after a five year hiatus. The goal is to make the worst song possible. There are three categories and overall Winrar. The deadline will be October 29 at 11:59 PM PST. That's 2:59 PM EST.
Last Week's Daily Features from the Portal as posted through P-Bot's Postings are listed here. @KimiOmega picked up their first Daily Feature with the fifth entry in the Kirby Guardian series. @BrokenMOJO picked up their third Daily Feature for TOMAR IS A HILLBILLY. The Reanimated Collabs prove to be a huge hit, with Rhythm Heaven Reanimated taking home the Daily Feature. The Sketch Collab has been a tradition on Newgrounds since 2007. The Sketch Collab 2020 picked up a fifth Daily Feature for this year's entry. @9Hammer takes hom his eighth Daily Feature with an anime take on the Super Smash Bros. Event with Ganondorf Home-Run Contest. @illwillpress picked up a Daily Feature for his new Foamy toon. @MarcoCardenas picked up his second Daily Feature for UNDER INSPECTION.
These are the people who make Newgrounds possible. Thank you!
This fellow has been a Newgrounds Supporter just this year. He has however been supporting Newgrounds throughout his young adult life and now his adult life as well. One of the lucky ones to obtain a Newgrounds Mystery Box, supporting the animators, developers, musicians, and artists throughout the years. He's been with Newgrounds through it's hay day and is still here giving his support, helping out newer members, and assisting in keeping abusive content off of the site.
"Newgrounds was the first website I made an account on by choice. NG was also the place where I first found a chat room. Some time in 2006, I found a flash chat in the Portal and made a bunch of friends. I was so young then. Looking through my posting history on NG takes me back to those days. I had never talked to anyone on the internet before, and it shows.
It's nostalgic to go back and read my old posts. I cared about such different things, and was so young. But it was worth it. NG was the catalyst of my social awakening, it was the place where I learned to have a social life. I remember so many names, I hope all of my old NG friends are doing well.
Since Tumblr has decided that self-immolation is a good idea, I've been spending more time on NG again, catching up on old favorites, and finding lots of new ones. I think I'll visit more when I have the time. It's good to be home."
@tormented-soul has started an Ask Me Anything to celebrate twenty years on Newgrounds. He has been with the site since its earliest inception and has been around the Internet during its growing pains to where it is today.
The winner of the 2020 Art-Inspired Music Contest and the winner of the 2020 Music Inspired Art Contest. These two were interviewed separately, but both shared this interview spot for winning these contests!
Art Talks makes its triumphant return on The Newgrounds Podcast with its host @Xinxinix and co-host @willKMR. The first episode of Season 1 is out now, with guests @MKMaffo and @Namenloose. This was a stand alone project until now. You can listen to the prologue series here.
"There's this realm of creativity that surrounds NG (and you probably don't need me to tell you that) but the inspiration I garner from just interacting on this site brings about special feelings in my imagination about the ingenuity that surrounds creating something--creating anything, and it inspires who I am as a person.
Art Talks is my way of expressing my love for art and offering a place for artists and enthusiasts to find information, inspiration, and imagination."
@guitarrob, the creator of the Living Hell series here on Newgrounds has an update video on his Patreon. If you're one of his patrons or are interested in his work then check out the video. The Tank Tribune also has a playlist available for the Literally Hell Series.
@JohnMontoya is looking at staring a podcast about Independent Game Developers called Indie United. His first guest he's looking to be voice actor Jon St. John, known for Duke Nukem and Big The Cat. He has more guests lined up, but is wondering if Newgrounds would be interested in this podcast. Give him your thoughts in the news post.
@matt-likes-swords is working on a launcher for his Epic Battle Fantasy series. You would select a game, get some information, and then be able to play it. They will all be compiled into one package.
@DimensionLord has made a Patreon for his works. If you become a patron, tiers can include personalized art, a song just for you, to be a character as an extra in an upcoming movie or game. Plus behind the scenes content. The latest game that will have early access is a top down shooter called STARSHIP PROTOTYPE. If you select the highest tier you will still have the perks of the middle tier and have early access to this game. If you're unfamiliar with DimensionLord, he was part of The Finale collaboration. He is also a musician and artist here on Newgrounds. Here's some samples of his work.
@illwillpress has slowly been uploading his older content to Newgrounds in HD. He is imploring fans on his other social media to come watch his stuff on Newgrounds. If you're a creator who posts your work outside of Newgrounds, bring them here as well if you can.
@LevaBoy is celebrating his tenth anniversary here on Newgrounds. He has thanked Newgrounds for the opportunity to share his early works and the support of his fellow artists.

@Evil-Dog brought us one of the most popular rhythm games to ever garner Newgrounds. Punk-o-matic. It was also a game where people could share their own songs for people to try out.
"Punk-O-Matic is the result of combining everything I liked at that time (things I still like today): programming, animating, composing/playing/listening to music. The idea came during one of my trip to my father's place who lives 10 hours from here. I was coming back to university and I was riding in the back seat of my friend's car back to university from the Christmas vacation and I designed the game on paper right then and there and then skipped a lot of classes making the game :D"
@primmy used to browse the site and decided to finally make an account. Give them a nice welcome in the Intro Thread.
@NotDerek has joined us. They are playing a lot of games and racking up Medals. Say hello in the Intro Thread and link some of your favorite games with Medals to them.

@saethe is a fan of Foamy the Squirrel who has decided to join Newgrounds! Go give them a friendly hello!
@SevenSeize4President held a group therapy session for everybody to get something off their chests and talk. For better or for worse. This session was in celebration of World Mental Health Day. The Tank Tribune would like to ask all of you this. If you need help there is always someone to talk to, even here on Newgrounds. If we cannot help, then perhaps professional help from a therapist, a psychiatrist, or even just your doctor or physician. If you do not have a mental health problem, it is important for you to talk as well and I think people forget this. It is important to focus on your own mental health. If you ever feel like you're a burden to someone talking about your thoughts, feelings, or problems. You're not and you never will be.
@SevenSeize4President has made a thread asking what your favorite thing is on Newgrounds. What have you come across on the site that you just love right now. Share it in the thread!
Created by @prangus back in 2015, there was curiosity as to what Newgrounds was listening to at the moment. The thread is still up for people to share the song that has been itching at their brains lately. You can share what song you're listening to today! Hopefully something from the Sunday Phonograph!
@Tancrisism created a thread for the musicians of Newgrounds to share their newest songs to the site through this thread. It is still the place for newcomers and veterans to share their works. It has been going for 15 years now! If you're looking for new music, check it out! You can get to the latest page by clicking this link!
Welcome back to the Newgrounds Kitchen! If you don't have dinner plans for this Sunday, might I suggest an old classic? Meat Loaf! This recipe comes from Newgrounds own cooking show Deep Fried Live! It is Tako's Meat Loaf! Some nice comfort food cooking for you and your loved ones!
Tako's Meat Loaf
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
3 tbsp scallions, chopped
1/2 cup half & half (or whole milk)
2 pounds meat loaf mix
1 pound ground chuck
1/2 pound pork
1/2 pound ground veal
3/4 cup fresh, toasted breadcrumbs
6-8 bacon slices
2 large eggs
2 tbsp chives, chopped
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp spicy red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried oregano
GLAZE
1/2 cup ketchup
4 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp white vinegar
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter in sauté pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, celery, red & green bell peppers, and scallions, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
STEP 2: For the glaze, mix all of your glaze ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
STEP 3: Combine eggs with chives, mustard, salt, pepper, nutmeg, red pepper flakes, cumin, basil, oregano, and half & half. Add egg mixture to meat in a large bowl along with breadcrumbs and sautéed veggies. Mix with fingers until evenly blended and not sticking to bowl. (If sticky, add a little more liquid.)
STEP 4: Place meat mix on a shallow, foil-lined baking pan, and form a loaf approximately 16 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches high (you can eyeball it). Brush on half of glaze (reserve rest for dipping or additional glazing during last minutes) and add bacon strips, crosswise tucking ends beneath the loaf.
STEP 5: Bake until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (about 40 minutes). Drain off fat with a baster as necessary. Cool at least 10 minutes. Serve with glaze dipping sauce.
Everyday Newgrounds chooses a User of the Day at random! Here are the selected people of last week! Congratulations to all of you!
The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax. This week features music rhythm based games.
The Tank Tribune has a new feature. The Sunday Matinee. This won't be here every Sunday, just for special occasions. For its debut, there are 20 music videos, popular on Newgrounds for your viewing and listening pleasure.
I was getting really close to cracking the character limit for this issue of the Tribune. There was a lot happening on Newgrounds this week, even more than last week. I wanted to do something for the Audio Portal community this week because it is my absolute favorite part of the site. There is so much music to listen to this morning with the Sunday Phonograph, SNES Music Contest, and The Sketch Collab soundtrack. Not to mention all of the music on Newgrounds you can listen to. The Audio Portal was launched in 2003 and has nearly two decades of music. I hope you enjoyed this week's issue and give your support to your favorite creators and make Newgrounds a place to have fun and a place for creators to grow. It is truly a wonderful experience that no one should miss out on.

They truly support the site in so many ways and have fun while doing it!
@WonderSchwifty is hosting the Newgrounds Tanktober in the Art Forum with a prompt list. There are 31 prompts for submissions. I reached out to WonderSchwifty for more information.
So the idea behind Tanktober, was when I just started school and the Inktober controversy was very fresh.
At the time, I had not done the Inktober challenge for two years due to having endless ammounts of assignments to do and when I found about this contreversy and everyone making thier own version due to a lot of gatekeeping, I decided to make an NG/Inspired one.
I really wanted to contribute to the community since I haven't been able to animate or do a lot this summer and making an newgrounds inspired inktober was really fun while being tired at the same time (timezones and such, I wake up early than everyone else).
So I told Tom first about the idea, started it two/three weeks before and then talked with a few members of the NGP Crew who both were very supportive of this idea. Then I decided to do this playlist were a bunch of classics, both old, new and creepy in general, watch them, write down the prompts in one night, talk to the NGP Crew, send it back to Tom and posted the info thread, pinned in the art fourms, thanks to asking Staff and some help of it under the radar.
Some where asking due to being interested and I explain while mean while doing the prompts and projects in the background.
At first, I wanted it to be focused mainly on NG charathers and such but after the reconsideration, I was done to go. This is my first contributed event I have ever done on NG since a lot of members have done jams and collabs, me being skeptical of "don't y'all have school or collage etc, why are you like busy on this," and being a bit toxic in general. Which I was wrong of and apologized. So in order to cheer up, I did this. Plus drawing for a month makes me improve alot and I think it also helps the communtiy in general even tho it was psoted under peoples radar. I just hope alot of people would see this and not let it slip.
@GrayAnimations has been working on a Reanimation of the song Christmas Demolition from the movie Zanta Claws III. He has opened this reanimation to other animators to join in. Send him a message for details on how to join in.

@BomToons updates us to what he's been up to. He's been working on music, which you can hear one of his songs in this morning's Sunday Phonograph. He's been working on artwork, axe throwing, and Castle Crashing the Beard HD.
@AnimatriumStudio is sharing his story of what he learned posting a submission to Newgrounds just about every day. He shared his results of testing the Portal. From how many views he gets at a certain time, with the most coming in at midnight. Sometimes his submission will pass through judgement instantly, other times it will sit Under Judgement for quite a long time. He also implores that you watch his series Ascentrium. The Tank Tribune has provided a playlist with the first 10 episodes of this series that you can watch here!
@9Hammer has been hard at work on his animation series, Beyond the Fog and Chaotic Heart. Details on Episode 3 of Chaotic Heart are out, with the title Loose Ends.

Welcome back to the Newgrounds Kitchen! Today we have something a bit spicier. Some badass fajitas from @AcidX. There was no proper recipe so it has been put into a recipe format to the best of the Tribune's ability.
STEP 1: Coat your peppers and chicken with oil and a dash of soy sauce.
STEP 2: Apply the chili powder, black pepper, salt flakes, smoked paprika, salt flakes, ground cumin, oregano, and smoke seasoning.
STEP 3: Cook them in an oven on medium-high heat. Douse with honey halfway through.
STEP 4: In a separate pan add your onions with salt and sweat them until they are sautéed.
STEP 5: Once your chicken and peppers are done add them to the pan and splash them with lime juice at the end.
STEP 6: Serve with salsa, in a wrap. Hot sauce optional.

The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax.
This has been quite a week and it has taken its toll on me physically and mentally. My day job last week did a number on my body. I have a new crew though so things should be getting easier as days go by. Since I found a way to streamline the Tribune, writing it has become easier throughout the week. What used to take me two to three hours to put together now only takes me one hour. If you liked the tagline at the top of the paper don't forget to share yours in the Tagline Thread. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday morning! I'll be at work today, reading your comments.

Good Morning Newgrounds! It is now the month of October, the month of spooky, terror, ghosts, gore, zombies, candy, and fun! The Spooktacular has begun with multiple categories with cash prizes available! There are multiple contests going on Newgrounds with a lot of entries for Among Us Animation Jam and the SNES Music Contest. The Sunday Phonograph features music from some Newgrounds Alumni. I thank all of you for your support of The Tank Tribune. It is incredible that it is nearing 200 Fans! Without further a do. Here's the happenings of Newgrounds last week!
A new video player has been unveiled for movies. This makes it easier for watching in playlists, so you can binge that list of movies you need to watch on Newgrounds. There are features for controlling the size of the player and scrubbing through the video. Site skins have been removed from the movie pages to accommodate this change. Movies that offer 4K viewing can now be viewed with this. The Tank Tribune is offering a playlist of the complete first and second seasons of Sublo & Tangy Mustard so you can experience the new video player!
Halloween is upon us here on Newgrounds! There are prizes for movies, games, music, art, and stories! If you would like to donate to the prize pool for the different categories you can do so here and then message Tom and he'll add you to the sponsors list! If you can make something spooky for Halloween then please do!
The deadline for the Among Us Animation Jam is this Wednesday October 7th by the end of the day. Now is the time to make your finishing touches on your movie if you haven't submitted it already. These are the people who make Newgrounds possible. Thank you!
The question is not what can you say about ninjamuffin99, but what can't you say about ninjamuffin99? He has lent his voice and music to so many popular Newgrounds movies and games. One of the many hosts of The Newgrounds Podcast. A cheerleader and contributor to many contests, creators, and Newgrounds. He is the whole package, there is no doubt about that. Not sure what the site would be without him, it would be quite empty I am sure of that. Thankfully though, he is here to give all he can.
I’m hopeful that Newgrounds isn’t just ‘some springboard’ into other more lucrative ventures like Youtube or Steam or whatever. I do think that one day Newgrounds can be the beginning, middle, and end. Something that you can ride with for life, because I ain’t ever wanna bounce outta here. I don’t know exactly what that’s gonna look like, so we’re gonna have some more interesting years ahead of us. Lov everyone who uses this site.
One of Newgrounds oldest members, @tarahloveshentai, has started her own Ask-Me-Anything thread in the Supporter Party. She also showed some love for Newgrounds and celebrated her account being 17 years old.
@Noisysundae has shown off some impressive work with Scenic Ride in Eb (Visualizer). He has taken us behind the scenes in this visualizer. From the software and the steps taken into the process. If you're an artist, animator, musician, or even programmer, this is a definite read.
@Bobert-Rob has released a new movie entitled Insecure Space. He is also posting HD re-releases of his Siblings series onto YouTube and maybe even here on Newgrounds. He is posting exclusive content to his Patreon as well.
@Fro has announced the end of the Dom and Fro Show. He has his day job, his daughter's school with zoom classes, his coaching job, and a 2nd job as well. He is also wanting to get back into writing more. If you haven't go and listen to all of the epiosdes of The Dom and Fro Show.
@The-Great-One has a Patreon set up for his works The Interviewer, Dohn's Desk, and The Tank Tribune. If you're a fan of his works, then become a Patron. Even the lowest tier receives some behind the scenes information.
FEATURED ARTIST
This week's featured artist is @StaggerNight. He recently posted his submission to the Among Us Jam. It is entitled Astronaut's Quarrel - Among Us. It is part of P-Bot's Weekly Daily Features this week! Check out his works and his art!

The Portal
There wouldn't be any Flash Portal History, there would be no Audio Portal, there would probably wouldn't be much of the Internet if it wasn't for the automated Portal. Released back in 1999, it was a place for Tom to share his own creations. He started to highlight other works on it. The submissions became overwhelming though and so he alongside with @Ross, developed an automated Portal so people could submit their own works in 2000. It has been the foundation for Newgrounds ever since.
@ninjamuffin99 is celebrating his fifth year anniversary on Newgrounds. Giving special thanks to @Saminat and @PhantomArcade for helping him out in his early days! Go give him a hearty congratulations! Check out his works and listen to him on The Newgrounds Podcast!
The first thread ever posted to the Newgrounds Forum. It was created by @zoro on February 22, 2001. It set the standard early on for what the General Forum was in store for. It is incredible that this thread still stands to this day with its simplicity. It has since been locked so no new posts can be added to it. It is now a relic to look back in awe. Members who posted in this thread that are still on Newgrounds include @ToonHole, @DingleberryClock, and @olskoo. With returning member @TFX.
Welcome back to the Newgrounds Kitchen! Today we have another sweet treat for all of you for this festive season. Some Pumpkin Cheesecake Snickerdoodles courtesy of @LadyJava!
STEP 1: In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg together. Set aside.
In a kitchenaid mixer with a paddle attachment, beat together the butter and sugars on medium high speed until fluffy about 2-3 minutes.
STEP 2: Blend in pumpkin puree, beat in egg and then add vanilla. Slowly add dry ingredients on low speed just until combined. Cover and chill dough for an hour.
STEP 3: Preheat oven to 350 and line your baking sheets with parchment paper. In a small bowl; mix sugar and spices for the coating and set aside.
STEP 4: To make the cookies, take a tablespoon of the cookie batter. Flatten it like a pancake and place a teaspoon of the cream cheese in center. Form another tablespoon of the cookie batter into a flat pancake shape and place on top of the cream cheese. Pinch the edges together sealing in the cream cheese and roll into a ball. Roll in the cinnamon sugar coating and place on the prepared baking sheet 2 inches apart.
STEP 5: Repeat until the dough is gone and flatten the cookie dough balls with a heavy bottomed glass or measuring cup.
STEP 6: Bake the cookies for 10-15 minutes or until the tops start to crack. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes and transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy!
FOOTNOTE: If you cant find the pumpkin spice cream cheese, make the cream cheese filling, by blending 8 oz cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons vanilla together. Chill for an hour.

The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax.
This week I'll admit was kind of slow. The next issue is going to be a return to The Interviewer as well as Somber Pensive. I am also updating all of my projects at the end of the week with The Weekly Review with TGO if you're interested in that. I do need more taglines for The Tank Tribune, so I ask that you post them in the Tagline Thread. I hope you all enjoyed this issue. There is always something happening on Newgrounds no matter where you go. I would also like to thank @Xinxinix for his kind words on the latest episode of The Newgrounds Podcast. It means a lot. If you aren't following and listening to The Newgrounds Podcast then you need to, immediately. Thank you for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Good Morning Newgrounds! I hope you all had a wonderful Madness Day! I've been adding some things I missed out on in a playlist to watch later. This year's Madness Day had an incredible turnout this year. The Daily Feature's this week features some Madness as well as entries in the Among Us Animation Jam. We've had more Reanimated Collabs hit the scene and discussed the inner workings of Site Moderation. If you haven't had breakfast yet, I suggest you scroll down to the Newgrounds Kitchen section for a recipe for some amazing pancakes. With that let's get into the happenings of Newgrounds!
Madness Day has come and gone again this year. There was bloodshed, there was violence, there was the return of a series, there was... coffee? All in all there was much fun and angst to be had and the turnout for this year was incredible! Here are the 1st Place winners of each category! Congratulations to you all!
An advertisement campaign to run ads on the site will be in motion. It was originally slated to start last week, but it was postponed and then cancelled for the upcoming Halloween celebrations. If you're using an AdBlocker and can't afford a Newgrounds Supporter Subscription, then I ask that you kindly turn off your AdBlocker. It is a way for the site to make money and thrive. These ads are one of the many reasons that this paper that you're reading right now even exists. If you can afford a Supporter Upgrade then by all means help support the site.
A new video player will be launching soon as well. With the dying of Flash imminent, steps are being taken in preserving the content on the site.
The deadline for the Among Us Animation Jam is October 7th, that's next Wednesday. If you haven't finished your piece yet, now is the time to make those finishing touches.
The Halloween Writing Contest is in full force with some wonderful entries already. The theme is The End of the World. If you're a writer, then show us what you got. The deadline is Halloween so there is plenty of time! The judges are @SevenSeize4President, @The-Great-One, and @Dranj.
Tom has also highlighted a lot of cool stuff in this news post. Check it out, rate, and review all of it. All of the things!
@New999 has started a collaboration project to reanimate the Bubsy animated series pilot from the 90s. Originally started by Bubsy fans, it has now been made an open project for others to join in. The deadline for this is November 24. It is also strict because it will be launching on Twitch on the 25th and be ready for Newgrounds on the 26th.
@HavryloThePigeon is working on a fanzine for Newgrounds and is looking for feedback on the project. Where The Tank Tribune focuses more on news, this will be a magazine featuring articles and fun things from not only Newgrounds, but animators elsewhere as well. Give your thoughts in the official thread!
Last Week's Daily Features from the Portal as posted through P-Bot's Postings are listed here. @Irezoomie picked up a Daily Feature for their debut movie Part of Your World. Welcome back to the Newgrounds Kitchen. If you haven't made breakfast yet, I've got one for you, courtesy of yours truly. It the recipe for my homemade pancakes! I hope you enjoy them!
The-Great-One's Griddle Cakes
I have tinkered with this recipe for years and finally got it to a point that I am proud of. They can be a nice hearty breakfast to start the day if you're into carb loading. Even as a nice dessert if you mix in about 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips and serve with ice cream.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup bread flour
1 cup sifted buckwheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
2 cups whole fat buttermilk
1 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites
1/4 cup melted butter
lard (or Crisco)
STEP 1: In a large bowl place your bread flour, sifted buckwheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk to combine.
STEP 2: In a smaller bowl place your buttermilk, molasses, vanilla extract, and egg yolks. Whisk to combine.
STEP 3: Combine the dry and wet ingredients together adding the melted butter. Stir together until the flour is gone. Do not over mix! If there are lumps in the batter that's fine.
STEP 4: Beat your egg whites until you have stiff peaks. Fold them gently into your batter until you can't see the white anymore. Make sure you don't over mix the lumps out.
STEP 5: Let your batter rest for 10 minutes. While the batter is resting, set your pan over medium heat on the stove or between 350-375 degrees if you're using an electric griddle of electric frying pan.
STEP 6: Grease your pan using lard about a tablespoon (pan size will vary). Be sure to grease a small ladle as well.
STEP 7: Apply a small round of batter onto the pan and spread it out with the back of the ladle. Let it sit until bubbles start to form and the outside begins to brown. Flip and continue cooking on the other side until the edges begin to brown.
STEP 8: Take this first griddle cake and throw it away.
STEP 9: Repeat STEP 7 skipping STEP 8 until you either have enough griddle cakes or run out of batter, whichever comes first.
STEP 10: Serve with maple syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, bacon, or all of the above if you're into that sort of thing (I won't judge you).
FOOTNOTE: If you like fruit or bacon in your pancakes. Once you spread your batter out in STEP 7 add your pancake innards here before you flip.
Everyday Newgrounds chooses a User of the Day at random! Here are the selected people of the two last weeks! Congratulations to all of you!
The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax.

“This year has been a goddamn mess, stay strong y'all.”
Today is officially Madness Day! If you haven't completed your work for today then now is the chance to do so and make those finishing touches. The prize pool is incredible thanks to all of the donations from the Newgrounds Community! There are prizes for Best Movie, Best Game, and Best Art!
Daily Features from the Portal as posted through P-Bot's Postings are listed here. For this special edition we will be highlighting all of the winners of the Daily Feature for the past Madness Days, from 2007-2019!
These are the people who make Newgrounds possible. Thank you!
For this special edition, we have the founder of the Madness Series, Krinkels! It absolutely had to be him for this selection. Through his creation of Madness he has brought a lot of people to Newgrounds and has helped launch the careers of many talented people here on the site! Madness Day serves as a chance for everyone to shine. Best part of all, he watches every movie, plays every game, listens to all the music, looks at every pieces of art, and reads every story for Madness Day! He absolutely loves all of the works and he's been doing it for every Madness Day!
"Well would you look at that. I remember registering this account from my work. I didn't have cable/dsl at the house at the time so I did all my internet nonsense from there. Hell, checking newgrounds was part of my routine after I clocked in, so naturally when the automated portal came about, along with account registration I had to jump on that. When the portal went from a small collection of cartoons to a constantly expanding culture of entertainment it was abso-fucking-lutely mind blowing. I don't even remember how I got my hands on a pirate copy of Flash 5, but I did, compelled to heave in contributions to something that entertained me so thoroughly. Thanks for having me, guys. Heres to another 20."
The creator of a traditional Madness Series on on newgrounds. The Dawn of Madness, the Day of Madness, and the Dusk of Madness. Learn how he came across the Madness series and his love for zombies!
ARTIST HIGHLIGHTS
I thought I would take this chance to highlight some past winners for Art on Madness Day! Here are a few selections for you to browse!
When I was on the site for Madness Day and I came across this combination of my two favorite things it was glorious from beginning to end. This is one of my absolute favorite Madness Day submissions, the attention to detail for both universes is done so well! What are your favorite past Madness Day submissions?
@raptoe23 is kind of new to the site. Chances are he has lurked before. Give him a welcome in the Intro Thread.
@DesertSage has joined us with a short description of his life and what he hopes to attain from the site. He was invited by two other users. Be one of the first to welcome him to the site!
For today's Madness Day I thought we would go with something economical, something that can be made with little to no hassle. Something that Hank could make, eat fast, and get back into the action! Our recipe comes from @FUNKbrs, the Man Bowl.
Man bowl NGer. Man Bowl. Da fuck is a Man Bowl you say? NGer, check this out: You got a microwave. Like at work, or a dorm room. No stove required. You get one large ceramic bowl, like you'd use to put salad it. The bigger the better, because you're going to be boiling water in this bitch, and you don't want it to overflow. We're about to microwave an entire fucking chicken pasta dinner.
INGREDIENTS
Egg noodles
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 small can mushrooms
a couple of spoonfuls of olives
Frozen boneless, skinless, chicken breast tenders
Bacon (optional)
two spoon fulls garlic powder
one spoon full cumin
one spoon full turmeric
one spoon full Italian seasoning
half a spoon full cayenne pepper
1-2 dashes of balsamic vinegar or olive oil
STEP 1: Fill the bowl about halfway up with eggnoodles. We're keeping this economic, to save beer money. Man priorities.
STEP 2: We're keeping it healthy up in this bitch, but we ain't got time for choppin' and cuttin'. Put in at least a whole can of diced tomatoes. A small can of mushrooms or a couple spoonfuls of olives can spice this up, but aren't strictly necessary. We can take this to the next level if you want to. This is a Man Bowl. We can take this as far as you wanna go bro. But over fill this bowl and see what happens bro. This pasta is getting steamed by these moist ass veggies. Do you know what's gonna happen after that? Do you? BRO? MANBOWL.
STEP 3: I'm not saying you can't use bacon. You can. You can add bacon after this step. I'm not your fucking mother. But me, I'm a fucking man, and I need pure protein, not sloppy pig lard. Frozen protein, too, because I'm STONE FUCKING COLD. Get some frozen boneless, skinless chicken breast tenders, the freezer bag kind, and lay them across the tomatoes like ducks in a row. They should come up to about even with the top of the bowl. Meat on top, just like the crown of a king. Fucking meat crown for the meat king goddamnit. MANBOWL.
STEP 4: I'm about to put it on you like you've never had it before, right on top of that meat. You ready?
GARLIC POWDER, two spoon fulls at least.
CUMIN one spoon full
TURMERIC one spoon full
ITALIAN SEASONING one spoon full
CAYENNE PEPPER half a spoon full
STEP 5: Now, wash that seasoning down into the bowl with a dash or two of balsamic vinegar. If you're going to lay bacon strips on them breasts, now's the time. Then, drizzle just a hint of olive oil over the top. Oil those breast up good, fuck yeah baby, do it... GET YOUR DICK OUT OF THERE IT'S FUCKING COLD.
STEP 6: Microwave for 15 minutes. On a paper plate to catch over flows if you're a bitch.
STEP 7: TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD. Your shits done, you wasted minimal time, probably rubbed one out, maybe got your ass handed to you playing some FPS. MANBOWL.
This special edition is not for kicking back and relaxing. It is time to get the adrenaline pumping! Get out there and kick some ass in these Madness Games! If you want to chill though, there is a Madness Day character creator.
I hope you all have a wonderful Madness Day today! Enjoy the violence, the carnage, the absolute mayhem! Also if you have a chance. Be sure to thank @Krinkels and @TomFulp for this amazing series and holiday that we are fortunate enough to celebrate every year. It truly does bring Newgrounds together through blood, weaponry, kickass music, and clowns. Happy Madness Day!

One of Newgrounds Veteran Members celebrates his 14th year here on Newgrounds. You probably know him as RealFaction, he has recently rebranded and is now JohnnyGuy. Johnny's works on the site include making music for Pico's School and Castle Crashers as well as creating the Art-Inspired Music Contest. You can also hear his voice as one of the hosts of The Newgrounds Podcast. He's always been there to help out the up and coming musicians here on Newgrounds and is always there to talk to when you need him. He has worked and improved his craft on the site for a long time. His undying support for Newgrounds should not go unnoticed.
"Ultimately, at this point, it doesn't even matter who supports me, I just wanna have fun, do what I want, without the negativity. That's why I'm moving to a new YouTube channel, but i'm staying here on this account on NG, just changing names, keeping the artwork/icon the same.
I want to give advice, do more podcasts, the radio show, maybe Newgrounds Podcast again, do comedy songs (I'm working on a couple), write a book, play games with friends and post game walkthroughs to youtube of games I enjoy, all for fun. That's all I know for now.
Thank you all for supporting me this far, I realized achievements won't make me happy, but doing what I enjoy will. Achievements/success, is all just a bonus, and temporary highs, but still something to be proud of. Ultimately, I wanted to be proud of myself, and now I finally am. Thank you all who have helped me through this journey.
The time of RealFaction is finally at an end, and a new beginning for me on this account as JohnnyGuy!
I can't wait to show you the new stuff I'm working on though! :) Love you guys! I want to spread more love and joy ~♥ love yourself, always.
The artist formerly known as RealFaction, under a new name, it is JohnnyGuy! Veteran musician to Newgrounds. His music is featured in Pico's School and Castle Crashers. He is also the creator of the Art-Inspired Music Contest!
@chrisbasso has been getting messages with permission to use his music. He has deemed that permission is not required to use his music, all he asks for his name in the credits. This is for both his newer and older music.
@WaxTerK recently celebrated 420 fans! Congratulations! He is a contributing artist and musician here on Newgrounds! Check out his works when you have a chance!

With Madness Day approaching, I thought it would be nice to look back at one of the most popular and anticipated series for Madness Day, Dawn of the Madness from @LittleLuckyLink. The series took a short hiatus, but it appears to be continuing with a new entry coming out this Madness Day!
"The summer of 2008 was actually a very important time for me. There were many things going on with my personal life at the time, and I guess you could say it was a bit of a "reawakening" for me creatively. Before and during that summer, I had taken a huge interest in zombie movies. The 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead and the Resident Evil movies caught my interest in particular. The movie went through many different changes early on in production. For instance, some of the art, including the zombies, was changed and recreated with the help of a great friend of mine."
@SevenSeize4President has made a thread celebrating anything and everything Halloween! Talk about your past costume ideas, favorite Halloween candy, and all other matters of spookiness!
@olskoo has set up a thread so you can make anonymous confessions to Newgrounds. If you need to get something off of your chest then this a great way to do it. You can even use an anonymous E-Mail address. Anonymous confessions will be posted daily.
A traditional contest here on Newgrounds now, got it start back in 2013! Created by @JohnnyGuy and @Phyrnna, it is being ran by @Random-storykeeper now. It is a beautiful combination of artists and musicians. It would be the inspiration for the Music-Inspired Art Contest which flips this contest around.
Welcome back to the Newgrounds Kitchen! Today's recipe comes from the NG Club for Cooks, Bakers & Eaters. It is a recipe for banana bread. It's not your everyday bread though. We're getting nutty and we're getting liquored with this recipe courtesy of @Porkchop!
Today, all the way from this liquor store that I got fantastic booze at, it's some motherfuckin Bourbon Banana Nut Bread. Alright, you're gonna need some ingredients. Not just any ingredients, but just about all of these ingredients. YOU WILL ALSO NEED a 9x5 loaf pan. Aside from that, if you got an oven, you're solid.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas (from about 3 bananas)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons bourbon
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks
STEP 1: Alright, first up. Preheat your shit. Go ahead and grease and flour that loaf pan. I used about 1/2 tbsp of flour for this, but whatever works for you. Set that shit aside and get to work.
STEP 2: Sift up your flour, salt and baking powder together and set that aside too. Mash up your bananas and set it aside.
STEP 3: Hopefully by now your butter is all soft, otherwise this step sucks muchly of the cock. Take your sugar and butter and cream that shit together. You'll want it nice and fluffy and mixed up nicely. With nice, soft butter, should take about 5 minutes, much like sex with your mom.
STEP 4: Now you've got some creamy butter jizz shit, add 1 egg. Mix that shit up. Now you've got some creamy butter egg jizz shit, add the other egg and mix that shit up. You should have something that kinda looks like sugar, butter and eggs. Take your banana goop, lemon juice, and bourbon and toss it all in. Get it all stirred up nicely and take a shot.
STEP 5: Now, you'll wanna add the flour concoction all at once to the jizz mixture. Otherwise you'll work the batter too much and it will come out a bit more drier than desirable. Once you get that shit all up in there, add your nuts and chocolate chips to it and casually fold them in.
STEP 6: Hopefully by now, your oven's done heating up, your batter is all thick and delightful smelling. Toss the batter into that pan that you greased and floured way back in step one and toss that bitch in the oven for about an hour. Right around here, the prophecy gets a little murky and vague, but all data suggests that the optimal time for removal is once a toothpick comes out clean in the center.
Everyday Newgrounds chooses a User of the Day at random! Here are the selected people of the two last weeks! Congratulations to all of you! Instead of listing Users of the Day on this date we have Clock Crew Members who were User of the Day!
The week can get people down sometimes. With all of the hustle and bustle and action packed drama that entails our lives, sometimes it's nice to just kickback and relax. Here are a few games to play to unwind on this Sunday Morning. This week are games that feature music by @JohnnyGuy!
This was quite a big issue music wise, and I felt it was deserving to give one of Newgrounds most giving member a place in the spotlight. To make sure it wasn't too much on one person though I decided to feature two different artists though. It is always amazing that this site not only brings together so many talented and skillful creators, but they all have their own stories to tell and their own trials. Anyone can make a contribution to this site, you don't need to have content in the portal to do so. Thank you to JohnnyGuy for all that you have done for the site. It means more than you probably know. I can't imagine what this place would have been like without you here.
