LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Good Morning Newgrounds! This issue will be the closing of an era for The Tank Tribune. There have been changes to the site that have been made in which I will be formatting a lot of sections. Featured Artist will no longer be a part of The Tank Tribune. The reasoning is a lot of artists have their licensing terms listed as “You may not use this work for any purposes”. I weighed a lot on whether or not it would be right to showcase someone’s work when they don’t want it used for “any purposes”. If I can figure something out it will return. Flash Portal History will be changing to Newgrounds History to include a lot of what makes Newgrounds one of the best sites to release your work on. This issue is containing just some General News. For those who haven’t been caught up, I have been dealing with memory issues as well as my day job draining me. My worst habit has always been putting more on my plate than I should. I need to find a proper work balance while juggling my personal life. Rex and I will be at a convention, the Southeast Game Exchange. He will be doing photography for me, while I cover the event.

Got Logged Out? We Figured Out Why!

There was a bug where users were being logged out after one year despite activity. Something stopped the reset session for active users. It has been resolved though! If you were having problems with NordVPN. If you use NordVPN or a VPN in general and it is giving you issues, be sure to reply in the thread. If you’re not able to, you can always E-Mail Support.

July Events & Updates

@PsychoGoldfish will be cleaning up the feed systems this Monday. This includes the Followed Artist Feed, Everything Feed, and if you’re a reader of The Tank Tribune the News Feed. There are multiple collaborations with deadlines coming up in July.

Sludge Brothers FANART CHALLENGE!

@PFINNEY is hosting a fan art contest for their new series SLUDGE BROTHERS. You can draw one of four characters from the show, with sticker packs as prizes for each. Best overall art will win sticker packs and a limited edition T-Shirt! To enter simply post your picture to the Art Portal with the tag “sludgebrothers” or “sludge-brothers”. This challenge runs for two weeks from July 6th to July 20th.

THE RETURN OF NEWGROUNDS MIDSUMMER RUMBLE

@Razur-Draws is bringing back the Newgrounds Midsummer Rumble. An art contest that involves drawing Newgrounds characters. Think of it like Inktober, but Newgrounds themed. He is looking for new and old entries from Newgrounds to be part of the art challenge! Share your thoughts in the comments of Razur-Draws news post.

NEWGROUNDS MELBOURNE MEETUP 2024

@RGPAnims is hosting a meetup in Melbourne, Australia on August 17th from 4PM-10PM. They’ll be working alongside @StudioShowoff to host the event. To cover the cost of the venue and insurance purposes, tickets for the meetup will be 20 AUD. You can purchase your tickets here. You must be 18+ years old to attend the event! Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch 2024 - Auditions

It’s that time of year again! The Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch has returned! This year is being hosted by @AED-4.  Here are the rules and regulations! Here is the Discord Server and the Discussion Thread! The Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch is a single-elimination tournament between the musicians of Newgrounds! Last year was won by @Lordant! Those who have submitted their Audition Entries already are @SkankyMojo, @Yoshiii343, @GlaceonDash, @ChordsInMotion, and @Slintas just to name a few.
