LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Good Evening Newgrounds! I know this issue is a bit late. The Tank Tribune is still undergoing construction as of this post. I implore your patience for just a little longer. My personal life balance has been under control. However, at work I collapsed having chest pains. It wasn't another heart attack, thankfully, my blood pressure spiked which caused a domino effect throughout my body. I don't know what triggered it, but it sucked to say the least. So I spent part of Friday in the hospital, went home that day, and rested Saturday and most of today. I have been working on the relaunch of The Tank Tribune, and a huge dedication to Newgrounds overall. With that said, here are some of the events you may have missed. Sorry for the delays, but as I've come to understand, real life can be both amazing and shitty, and at the same time. With that out of the way, here are the hip happenings of Newgrounds!

NG Audio Portal 20th Anniversary Collab

Newgrounds celebrated the Audio Portal turning 20 Years Old with a collab organized by @ThatJohnnyGuy and @VoicesByCorey.

Art-Inspired Music Contest 2023 News and Info!

@Random-storykeeper is hosting the annual Art-Inspired Music Contest again. This is the 10-Year Anniversary of this contest, that was started by @ThatJohnnyGuy. You have until April 21st to find a piece of art to make your song for. The contest officially begins on April 21st. Their currently looking for judges for the contest. If you want to participate or know more about the contest, follow the link above.

List Jam 2 Winners

The second List Jam came to a close. A Jam where a game had to be made using two or more items from a list provided by the hosts and judges of the jam. The first place winner goes to @LakenDaCoda for Monkey Quest.

Flash Forward Jam 2023

The Flash Forward Jam deadline is April 20th. That's later in this month. If you don't have your entry completed, now would be the time to put on the finishing touches.

Pico Day 2023

Our annual celebration of Newgrounds is coming up on May 6th. If you have missed out on both of the jams, now would be the time to start your Pico Day entry. There are prizes for all of the Portals. @DannyGoodShirt is hosting a Pico Day Writing Contest in the Writing Forum!

NG Festivals Short Story Contest!

@Kekiiro and @Slimygoo are hosting a writing contest for the Newgrounds Summer Festival! It is a short story contest. The deadline is this Saturday, April 15th. Make your last edits or start on something now! The rules are as follows:

1) Your entry must be completely original. This means you cannot include characters from any pre-existing series that you did not make. For example! Fanfic with your FnF OC or your favorite Doctor Who companion is not a valid entry. As cool and amazing as it may be, I won’t read it.

2) There is one entry allowed per person. You may collab on a story with someone. However, that counts as one entry for both of you.

3) All entries must be SFW. This means if you would rate it with an M or above, do not submit it.

Resuming Art Streams

@SourCherryJack is resuming Art Streams on his Twitch. The times you can watch him are 6AM and 8AM and/or 5PM and 8PM | California Time. He is drawing and talking about events in the world and his everyday life. He's looking to redraw some OC's from The OC Plaza Thread. Follow him on Twitch!

3rd YEAR ANNY on NG!!!

@RavioliBox is celebrating her third year on Newgrounds! She would have an entry in the Pod-chan Art Contest. She was also a recipient of a tablet in the Drawing Tablet Giveaway, from our lord and savior himself, Tom Fulp. She is also working on something for Pico Day, and her birthday was recent! Congratulations on three years on Newgrounds! Happy Birthday!

With the closing of the General Forum, many old threads can no longer be updated. So this relic has been moved to the Where is / How to / Help! Forum. The Tank Tribune will be bringing back the Users of the Week section of the paper in future issues.

Returning User!

@Wargrave is returning to the site after nearly ten years away. He has been posting his poetry in the Writing Forum and has re-introduced himself in the old user reintroduction thread. Give him a friendly welcome back if you have the chance.

When on an episode of Off The Wall, I came to a realization that Newgrounds is about to turn 30 years old. Isn't that amazing? How the site could be around for thirty years? It just blows my mind. This has been an incredible place that has molded me, shaped me to who I am today. The Tank Tribune blew up in popularity, and I am fortunate enough to be able to work on it for all of you and be here with all of you. For that I am eternally grateful. The next issue will be coming out on Sunday, that I can guarantee you. Shout out to @Anonymous-Frog for keeping the TankmanTriweekly going. I'll see you all on Sunday!
