Good Morning Newgrounds! Welcome to The Tank Tribune. The Official Newspaper of Newgrounds! The Pixel Day winners were announced. There's a meet-up planned in Pennsylvania, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Newgrounds Office. The Flash Forward Jam's deadline is creeping up. The Newgrounds Treasure Hunt is accepting no more entries, and the judges are judging. Without further a do, here are the hip happenings of Newgrounds!

Pixel Day 2023 Winners
The winners for this year's Pixel Day have been announced. There were a lot of entries this year, making it one of the biggest Pixel Days we've ever had. Best Game goes to @LeviRamirez and @TeraVex for Gappy's Playground, another entry in LeviRamirez's Gappy series. They took 4th Place in last year's Pixel Day for SHOOT TRIP DIE - DEMO. Best Movie goes to @gatekid3 for GOAT [Pixelday 2023]. Best Art goes to @MP32 for the binding of isaac: big binding PIXELDAY 2023. Best Music goes to @eliasalija for A-Beat Crushed Idealism. Newgrounds Meetup @ TooManyGames JUNE 23!
@CorTat-G is hosting a Newgrounds Meet-Up at the Too Many Games Expo at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. It's also about 40 minutes away from the Newgrounds Office as well. @ninjamuffin99, @NickSenny, and @Ant are a few members who will be attending. Flash Forward Jam 2023
The deadline for this year's Flash Forward Jam is March 26th. That's right around the corner. If you haven't started on your entry yet, now would be the time. This would also be the time to kick it into overdrive so you have time to look over your entry or add the finishing touches.
Pico Day 2023
Springtime will soon be upon us, and with that comes Pico Day. A day to celebrate Newgrounds main mascot, Pico, his friends, and all of the other great Newgrounds characters!

RadicalRonik Presents...: Ravage Fist (2D Classic Fighter Project)
@KokoroHatsaru is asking that you give her friend @RadicalRonik some support for his upcoming game, Ravage Fist. It is a 2D Fighting Game, harkening back to the 80s and 90s, with Marvel vs. Capcom elements. Everything is being made from the ground up by him. @Bacun has recently hit 10,000 fans! They were a part of last year's Tankmas ADVENTure. Back in 2021 in Issue No. 35, Bacun celebrated hitting 1,000 fans! It is amazing to see how they have grown so quickly on Newgrounds. Check their works out below!

This week we're taking a look at a game that took Newgrounds by storm. To where one of its updates crashed the site. It is almost three years old; its impact is still felt on the site to this day. Streamers played it on Twitch and YouTube. Many people were brought to Newgrounds because of it, giving the site a needed boost. If you haven't in a while, it is time again. To get freaky on a Friday night y'all.
"The classic tale goes that before the Ludum Dare game jam even started, I wanted to make an early 2000s ass parappa style rhythm game. Simple and straightforward lil project. Asked PhantomArcade, evilsk8r, and kawaisprite if they all wanted in and they were all down. When talking to PhantomArcade about the game, he more or less came up with a bunch of the MEAT of the game concept. Boy rap battling the rockstar dad to get the girlfriend. That’s pretty much the LORE of game jam, it all came VERY naturally. I think it’s good to just go with the flow for shit like that. Let other people have input just as much as you want input on a project yourself. I don’t think we debated for a second whether or not to do a rhythm game, it was just the choice from the start. What we were INSPIRED to do."
