LETTER FROM THE EDITOR
Good Morning Newgrounds! Shout out to @Malachy for becoming the newest Patron on Patreon! Last week was quite the doozy let me tell you. Both Stepford and Wandaboy have won awards for last year's Pico Day and they've only grown from there in terms of collaborative projects. Stepford would go on to take a team and win Best Game this month. Wandaboy would take a team and go on to win Best Movie this month. The composers of Newgrounds have been on fire lately. Launching their first albums. Cranking out music. The Kitty Krew is nostalgic now, go figure. GrantTheHierophant is rapping. Krinkels ate a ghost pepper. There is no Supporter section this week. I'm working on tweaking that lately. Although supporting an independent site, without the rules of YouTube and Tumblr and the drama of DeviantArt, is a valiant effort. Some people may want more perks. I'm looking to see what I can do here to entice the Supporter base. Newgrounds is really hip and Dank (or at least I think that's what the kids say nowadays). With all of that out of the way, here are the hip happenings of Newgrounds!

I would like to tell you a story. It's a story about @WadeFulp, and a user by the name of sirtom93. The reasons why are because it will make this issue's Flash Portal History make more sense. At a time, different users on the site would make jokes about killing government officials. This is not okay, REALLY NOT OKAY. Even talking about it here is probably not the best idea. That's how much it is not okay.
With that said, with Wade Fulp being the primary administrator here on Newgrounds. He would get called and/or visited by the Secret Service. Mainly due to another user on the site reporting the threat or the NSA possibly catching it. Wade got tired of this happening and stated so in this thread.
Secret Service - Warning to all!
Wade was getting tired of having to answer these calls. Tell the Secret Service it was dumb kids being dumb kids. He then started to send the Secret Service to user's houses so they could answer for this to not only the Federal Government, but their family as well. Wade was getting tired of his time being wasted and the government's time being wasted. He decided that if any threats are made. Once the Secret Service has the information they're looking for, said user's account would be terminated.
Now this thread is not the focus, it is the setup. To give you a basis of who Wade Fulp is. He is Tom's older brother. He doesn't take shit from anyone on the site. He will take you down if need be. With that being said, let's get to the point of discussion.
This is it.
sirtom93. Made a thread stating that he was going to attack his school with arson and other forms of violence. He took a picture of a petrol can that said "Sirtom's Petrol" on the side. This thread was made on March 17, 2009 at 6:40 AM EST. Former user deckheadtottie began calling the Police at 7:04 AM. sirtom93 was not worried though because he felt like no one can get him. Enter Wade Fulp at 7:14 AM.
Leave this topic, authorities are being contacted.
Reading that sentence still sends chills down my spine. At that point, the entire thread became a collective effort to get a hold of the Police in the UK. To stop him from his plans of arson and who knows what else. @Zerok provided pictures of him for cross-reference, PIC 1 | 2. Zerok also provided important information on who he is. There was debate on whether or not to lock the thread, no moderator dared override Wade's decision on leaving it open for information.
At 12:11 PM EST, Zerok announced that sirtom93 was in custody. Around 12:14 PM EST Zerok announced that the detective was interrogating sirtom93 and that he dropped the names of two people with similar interests. The names were forwarded to Wade for information and approval before going public.
We hadn't heard word until @Rig announced at 3:09 PM EST that sirtom93 would be in custody overnight. The police were still monitoring the thread. Wade locked the thread at 7:06 PM EST. 12 hours after his initial post. Rig would cover the rest of the story in his news post.
On March 18, 2009, sirtom93 was allowed to make phone calls. He said he had no intention of doing anything. He was found with the gas can, matches, and knives on him. He brought them only to show off. On March 30, 2009, he was apparently being held in a secure psychiatric unit. March 2010 his preliminary hearing had begun. On November 2010 he had been tried, charged, and sent to a secure hospital unit and wouldn't be released until approved by a medical board. His last post on Newgrounds came in the Ng Viking Army thread. He said he would be out by March. That was the last we heard from him. This was the last we would hear from sirtom93.
Now why did I tell you this whole story? One, to tell you the amazement of Newgrounds and how fast it can act on a problem if need be. Two, to show you not to mess around on the site with baseless accusations and threats, because the hammer will come down upon you. Three, DO. NOT. FUCK. WITH. WADE. FULP. Four, Newgrounds will make fun of you, at your expense, for trying to do something stupid which leads me to this.
We featured @scottmale24 back in Issue NO. 6 of The Tank Tribune for Forum History. Now he has taken this bit of history and made a Flash Game. You can act out the events that sirtom93 took on this day in hilarious fashion. The story has a familiar ending though, you get busted in the end.
"Newgrounds used to thrive on that sort of push-the-boundaries-of-what-is-offensi ve entertainment. The whole situation was just so bizarre and almost surreal, it was almost as if he set himself up to be caught. At the time of the incident I'd been working on a point-and-click style game engine for fun, and I'd been dying to use Rucklo's "Drunk" song in a submission. It was almost a calling. A duty. It was written in my DNA and in my coffee grounds and in the stars that I assume hang in the sky beyond the constantly overcast nights of upstate New York.
And it was fun to make."

Update on life
@ShayInator has been stressed out due to medical problems with her mom and work. Her mom has decided to stop chemotherapy. Her business is doing well, running personal craft fairs which helps get her mind off of things for a while. She hasn't been drawing in a while, but she's looking to get back into it and looking to not be as much of a hermit. Her snake and her cat Biscuit are doing well. Her Dad also got his license back and is doing well and having fun driving again. He wasn't driving due to a blind eye. She is also interested in how your life is going.

Last week at my day job was hell. Not bad, just aggravating. Thankfully coming home to work on Newgrounds is a huge relief. I don't get much feedback on the Tribune other than "great job" and "I can't believe someone hasn't done this before". I really appreciate the compliments. I would like to know more in-depth. What are your favorite sections of the Tribune? What are your least favorite sections? What do you think I could expand on? If you're a long time reader and I removed something from the Tribune, what would you like to see come back? I truly appreciate all of you who read The Tank Tribune. It really means a lot to me.
