Good Morning Newgrounds! This may be the last issue where I work with my original style. @Gimmick has made a news post with a different way for me to do my writing VIA news posts here on Newgrounds. I have read it, but haven't fully played around with it yet. I intend to do though. Besides that, there will be some more fleshing out of certain sections of the newspaper so things are going to be looking better going forward! With that out of the way, last week was a bit more laid back... at least it was until the Newgrounds Evangelion Collab hit the front page. The Flash Forward Jam is nearing the end. Pico Day is on the horizon. Butzbo was interviewed. All of this and more! Here's the hip happenings of Newgrounds!

Pico Day - June 11th!
A day to celebrate everything about Newgrounds! Originally hosted on Tom Fulp's birthday it has shifted around over the years. It is Newgrounds biggest holiday! If you're a creator on the site, there are multiple contests. The Top Prizes right now are $300 for Best Movie and Best Game, $170 for Best Art, and $150 for Best Music. @Galloglasses came up with the idea to celebrate one of Newgrounds mascots. The creation of Tom Fulp, Pico. Pico is to Newgrounds what Mickey Mouse is to Disney. Pico Day is an important holiday here on Newgrounds. A celebration of Pico and his friends, the TANKMEN, and other Newgrounds iconic characters. This was an idea back in 2005. We have celebrated Pico Day since then.
IKARI FANART CONTEST!!!
@Leon0u0 is hosting an art contest for their comic series. 1st Prize is an IKARI-CHAN T-Shirt and a knee up commission. The rules are No NSFW, draw any character from the comic, and only characters from the comic. The deadline is March 31st!
The Newgrounds Direct is back! (Sign-ups!)

One Year on Newgrounds
@MayaLaCookie is celebrating their anniversary here on Newgrounds. Being on the site for one year is a special occasion. If you haven't made your congratulations yet now is the time to do so.
Leo & Satan started off as just a simple short by @Oney and @Seankiely. It became a huge hit on Newgrounds that people wanted a sequel. It would soon become its own series on the site.
"When I was in school, my friend Sean and I were joking around and thought it would be funny if Satan was a mischievous old man whose worst punishment was putting to much sugar on someone's pancakes. We needed someone for Satan to piss off with this so I drew Leo and we made a the short Pancake Doomsday. It grew from there.
People really seemed to like Algebra Aversion, and I always wanted to make a drug related cartoon. I also wanted to see if I could top the first, I think it came pretty close."
